Alfa Romeo Giulia takes the double at the Irish Car of the Year Awards 2018

Super Bike rider Chris Walker was selected to personally deliver one of the Alfa Romeo 4C safety cars to the World Superbike round at the Assen race circuit in Holland, ahead of the championship round.
The undisputed star of the show, the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is the open-top version of the multi-award winning coupé launched last year, which is known for delivering strong emotions and a supreme driving experience, while marrying outstanding design with the performance of powerful and versatile engines.
The event "Spettacolo Sportivo", the largest gathering of Alfa Romeo cars organised in Europe, will take place on 23 and 24 August in the Netherlands. In keeping with tradition, the event is being organised by the Dutch club of the SCARB (Stichting Club Alfa Romeo Bezitters), and will be hosted at the motoring circuit of Zandvoort, which is located in the vicinity of the small town by the same name on the Dutch coast of the North Sea.
Alfa Romeo will attend the "Goodwood Festival of Speed 2014", which will be held from 26 to 29 June in the British county of West Sussex, one of the most important international events dedicated to motorsport. Every year the Festival, with its uphill race, theme shows, vintage displays and exhibitions of historic and contemporary cars, attracts over 150,000 people including fans, collectors and experts from all over the world.
Built to end the dominance of Auto Union and Mercdes-Benz in Grand Prix racing – Germany’s mighty Silver Arrows – the Alfa Romeo 159 Alfetta was a derivative of the 350bhp 158 Alfetta that won six out of seven races in the inaugural F1 World Championship in 1950 (and all five non-championship races) to give Giuseppe Farina the first F1 World Champion crown
