Exclusions
The Alfa Romeo Warranty does not cover defects caused by normal wear and tear. In particular it does not cover fuel, oil changes or top-up and replacement of the following components:
filters
spark plugs
clutch plates
windscreen or rear wiper blades
brake discs
brake pads
The Alfa Romeo Warranty will not apply to any modification, addition, extension or alteration to the original exfactory specification of the vehicle whether or not such is approved or recommended by the company in respect of the following:
Defects arising in the modification itself
Defects which, in the opinion of the Company were caused by the modification
The Alfa Romeo Warranty does not include tyres and radios except where the defect results from negligence on the part of Alfa Romeo. These are covered by separate warranty conditions issued by the manufacturers. We will, however, always endeavour to help you to enforce such warranties against manufacturers or their representatives.
Alfa Romeo Warranty does not apply to the following:
Any vehicle used for racing, trials, rallies, competitive events or for any purpose other than genuine private or commercial use as a motor car.
Any part which in the opinion of the Company has been damaged by neglect, accident, overloading or by any form of improper use or by lack of periodical and proper maintenance as detailed in the Alfa Romeo Aftercare booklet, or by any unauthorised modification or alteration from the manufacturer’s original specification.
Any vehicle whose identification numbers have been altered or removed.
Routine adjustments or normal servicing items made necessary by fair wear and tear.
Claims and Cover
Consequential Damage Parts Cover
All covered parts plus: filters; lubricants; antifreeze; and fluids, provided the replacement is the result of a failure of a part covered by the 3rd Year Dealer Warranty.
If you have your vehicle repaired or maintained by an independent repairer during the Warranty period the Warranty may be lost if the work carried out is faulty.
Any service must be carried out within +/- 30 days or +/- 1000 miles (whichever comes first) of the time or mileage specified.
Any part(s) fitted and materials used must be Alfa Romeo Genuine Parts or parts of an equivalent high quality.
The manufacturer’s service record needs to be stamped accordingly and the servicing invoice retained.
3 Year Dealer Warranty
Any paintwork defects, due to faulty materials or manufacture, will be rectified free of charge during the first 3 years.
3 Year Paintwork Warranty
Subject to regular inspections being carried out, any perforation of the bodywork, due to corrosion, will be repaired free of charge of all parts and labour charges during the first 8 years.
