THE ALFA ROMEO F1
TEAM ORLEN. C42 IS BORN

After a week of testing in Barcelona, the C42 was finally unveiled in an eye-catching livery of red and white. The latest Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN contender is the final piece that was needed for an incredibly compelling season of Formula One racing.

As the first car produced in Hinwill under the budget cap regulations and designed by a team led by Technical Director Jan Monchaux, the C42 embraces the possibilities dictated by the new ground-effect floor, updated aerodynamic package and 18-inch, low profile tyres. It’s a racing machine conceived to get to the top, powered by a new and improved Ferrari engine.

Created by the Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, the red and white livery is a marvelous yet subtle homage to historical designs and the heritage of Alfa Romeo and Sauber Motorsport. The engine area is painted red with a diagonal cross-section to convey even more dynamism. The historic Alfa Romeo lettering fits into the diagonal as a reference to the early 20th century. And below that lies the writing “Tonale”, the name of the first SUV that has recently been unveiled. The “Quadrifoglio”, symbol of sportiness can be seen in the upper section and the Italian flag is present on the back of the spoiler, proudly featuring the wording “Alfa Romeo”.

In the hands of 10-times race winner, Valtteri Bottas, and Zhou Guanyu, the first F1 driver from China and the only rookie on the grid in 2022, the C42 is ready to impress.
